Malaysia My Second Home
With over 50,000 participants, MM2H is Malaysia's seminal Golden Visa.

The MM2H visa, the Malaysia My Second Home program, is the original long-term Golden Visa made available by Malaysia to everybody in the world, regardless of race or nationality. Any applicant able to meet the requirements has been and continues to be approved for the MM2H Visa, along with any and all the applicants' dependents.

A long-term multiple-entry social visit pass, MM2H is especially popular amongst retirees and semi-retirees the world over. This includes the countless so-called snowbirds from Canada. These MM2H second-homers indulge in their annual extended break by substituting the long frigid winter back home in Canada with Malaysia's sunny skies and balmy temperatures.

Depending on the specific Visa in question, the validity of MM2H ranges from 5 to 20 years. At the end of the Visa's tenure, holders have the option to renew.

As interest and the number of active MM2H participants grew in the early years, the forward-thinking Malaysia government realized the need for the program to be more diversified so at to more effectively meet the wants and needs of the different categories of MM2H participants.

Today, there are seven MM2H Visas, each with its own specific benefits and requirements and each tailored to its specific category of MM2H applicants.

The available MM2H Visas are:

1. Platinum: Requirements
2. Gold: Requirements
3. Silver: Requirements
4. JS-SEZ:   Requirements
5. Sarawak:Requirements
6. Sabah: Requirements
7. Premium VIP: Requirements

In light of this diversification, it makes sense to take a closer look at each of the MM2H Visa types. Chances are, at least one is an ideal match for your particular circumstances and objectives.

Who is eligible for MM2H?

Everybody anywhere in the world can apply for MM2H, though the minimum age for the main applicants is 21 years. Applications are approved once all requirements are met, usually within three months.

Additionally, you're free to bring your spouse and your children; that is, provided they're below the age of 34. The main applicant's parents, as well as his or her spouse's parents, are also allowed to be added to the MM2H visa. And in the case of the Platinum MM2H, the applicant's domestic helper can be a dependent too. Do note that all dependents need to meet Malaysia's general immigration requirements.
